Our Pest Control Methods
AEVPMS uses an integrated pest management approach — combining multiple control methods to achieve maximum effectiveness while minimising environmental impact.
Ground Shooting
Shooting remains the most effective and humane method for vertebrate pest control. Our licensed shooters operate day and night using the latest thermal imaging and optical equipment. We follow all National Standard Operating Procedures (NATSOPs) for humane destruction.
Thermal Drone Operations
Our thermal drone capability allows us to detect, count and target pest animals across large areas of terrain that would be difficult or impossible to cover on foot. Drone surveys also produce population data to inform management decisions.
Trapping
Cage and padded-jaw traps are deployed in areas where shooting is not practical — dense bush, residential boundaries, and areas requiring discretion. All trapped animals are humanely dispatched on site. Trapping is often combined with GPS trail cameras for remote monitoring.
Baiting
1080 and PAPP baiting programs are conducted in accordance with APVMA registration conditions and state legislation. We prepare and implement baiting programs for feral pigs, wild dogs and foxes across NSW and ACT.
Den Blasting
For rabbit warrens, explosive den destruction is one of the most effective long-term control methods. Shock waves collapse underground dens without affecting above-ground native animals. This method is particularly effective in residential and peri-urban areas.

Every engagement begins with a site assessment and a tailored pest management plan. We provide written reports following all operations detailing species, numbers, methods used and recommendations for ongoing management.
